Life can be challenging, uncertain and complex at times. We may face stress, job loss, relationship changes, loneliness, grief or setbacks on our goals or sense of direction. This can lead to feeling low, anxious, depressed and unmotivated. Resulting in physical, mental and emotional symptoms such as lack of sleep, energy, focus, connection and joy.

I’m Shaileen Shah, a Happiness Coach, Speaker and Trainer and have experienced these. One of the practices that science says and certainly has been my experience for better mental and emotional wellbeing is the practice of gratitude and journaling.

The world is on a negative bias so we have to actively develop positive habits to help us counter this. We need 3 positive thoughts/experiences to counter the effects of one negative one.

When you do a search on how to be positive or happy, almost every article has the practice of gratitude on the list, often near the top. Gratitude can help shift our mood, amplify the good we already have and give hope to a better future.

The Training Course

During the start of the pandemic in 2020 Happy Life Habits launched the 30 Day Gratitude & Journal Habit Immersion Training Course that has positively impacted many and provided much value.

Designed for busy people to develop positive habits and structured routines in 10 minutes a day positively impacting their happiness, wellbeing and productivity. Each and every day.

At the start and end of the training course we measure your gratitude levels to enable you to see the progress you have made during the 30 Days.

We take a gentle, step by step, supported approach to create an environment for successfully developing the skills and habits over the 30 Days. Adding new knowledge, insights, practices and skill development each week.

The Happiness Journal

We develop morning and evening routines using a lovely hardback happiness journal (The 5 Minute Journal) provided as part of the course.

The journal has been used by Tim Ferris, Emma Watson and me, Shaileen Shah since 2016. 

The journal has 5 science backed positive psychology practices - 3 for the morning and 2 for the evening that shift our mood, provide focus and let us bring our best to the day.

It also has daily positive quotes and weekly challenges.

Habit Development 

Our first of 4 Zoom live calls is the 90 min Journal Workshop where we teach you about and actually get started on habit development using the journal to establish the daily morning and evening routines using best practices for success.

There is built-in accountability where each day you send your journal entries to me via WhatsApp and I’ll provide feedback, suggestions and guidance to improve.

Live Calls

After the Journal Workshop Live Zoom Call the following weeks have Live Zoom calls concluding in the final week with a Celebration Call. 

Each of the Live calls provides the opportunity to ask questions and share what is working and what is challenging. We share new insights, activities and enhancements to continue developing the habits and routines. In between the weekly Zoom calls the WhatsApp accountability and support continues.

The Daily Facebook Practice

Each of the Live calls is recorded and made available in a dedicated private Facebook Group allowing you to review the session or catch up if you missed it. An important part of the training course is the daily practice in the private Facebook group.

Starting on the 1st of the month there is a daily gratitude on a particular theme for you to answer. Each week will build up to more gratitude to share covering a variety of themes to enhance your practice.
