Growing Around Grief

In recent times I have experienced loss and grief more often and seen many friends and family experience it too. It's hard.

  • We experience Grief through loss including loved ones, relationships or a job

  • We feel sadness, confusion, disorientation and anxiety. Our immunity goes down

  • We go through different stages of grief. The brain goes into survival mode.. The thinking centre & emotional regulator become underactive while the control / fear area becomes overactive. The Left and Right are not integrated

  • Everyone’s Grief Journey is different. We don’t sleep, eat or think well

I have grown around this grief through gratitude and journaling practices. Learning that these are the benefits:

I am running an adapted version of the successful Happy Life Habits 30 Day Gratitude & Journaling Habit Immersion Training Course.

This will include live sessions with activities adapted for the theme of loss and grief to help with the healing and grow around the grief.

In addition over the next few months I'll run my Positive Grief Talk.

Growing Around Grief Dates


I’ve just completed the Happiness and Gratitude training programme that Shaileen hosted.
We all ‘know’ what to do and how to ‘be’ happy, positive and grateful but it’s not always something that’s at the forefront of our minds when we are in the day to day of our lives. I booked on this course back in November as something to look forward to for the start of the year.

Alongside Shaileens’ great questions and coaching support, there was a daily journal to complete.

The whole programme was really, really good. My mindset has grown stronger as a result of the course and for anyone who wants some MH (Mental Health) support, to be able to see the ‘wood for the trees’ or like me, just wants to spend a bit of time focussing on the ‘haves’ vs the ‘have nots’ - this is for you.
